The Need to Monetize AI and Ads on ChatGPT and Google Gemini

It seems that the need to monetize everything is coming to the world of AI chatbots. There has been talk of ChatGPT putting ads on their site. It has been such a great tool not having to see ads popup on a website, not having Video ads that break immersion while watching a history video or tutorials on software. However, with so many users on ChatGPT, some 800 million strong, it is clear that ads are going to be put on the site. I believe that it is going to occur early in 2026 as the site needs a way to make up for its debt it has been acquiring and the cost of all the investments from other companies.

I think what needs to happen is that ads have to be implemented carefully. I do not want to have full screen ads such as on YouTube. Every single video seems to have these annoying video ads that comes up every time the content creator is getting to an important part of their video here.

They need to make sure the ads are non-intrusive and relate to agentic AI. Instead of just filling everything with ads which are taking up space, they need to make sure the ads are speaking to customer’s precise views on what they want to purchase on the site.

ChatGPT is getting better at making images efficiently. However, Gemini is still better at making photorealistic images, but the gap is not as big as it once was.

Gemini’s ability to recreate reality will be very important when it comes to history education. The ability to create photorealistic depictions of pre-photographic eras is going to change the teaching profession here. We will now be able to go beyond looking at photographs on Google or Bing Image search.

People on the internet have been quite lazy in recent years, and human created content needs people to go outside and actually photograph things and also make drawings. However, we are not seeing that, so Gemini is giving us the next best thing here.

The image above shows us the power of Google Gemini here. Images can now give us the ability to recreate social relations and see clothes and architecture across the ages.

The days of Dalle-3 making mistakes are now in the past.

Considering it was only really a couple years ago, and we now have photorealistic images of historical ages.

Instead of using static textbooks, we now breathe life into these textbooks with AI.

Many establishment people may not like having this happen. These institutions have ossified and are unwilling to change.

Education now has another chance to change. This change will make history education more accessible but also increase thinking about other cultures and history of social class in other eras.

People should try to embrace it rather than being so defensive about it. In my experience, High School was a real bore with teachers in front of the smartboard but not using it. Students have not been trained by parents and their community to truly care about their education beyond the grades. With LLMs we now have the ability to change that here.

Education can now truly become interactive and intriguing to students.

ChatGPT image creation (ChatGPT 5.2) has gotten a upgrade.

ChatGPT is now at version 5.2, and the image creation is much better now. The previous versions took much longer here. Previously, it was taking minutes and it was starting to look rather primitive in comparison to Gemini Nano Banana Pro.

The results are truly amazing and realism and different art styles are very unique in here. What you see above is an impression of a Carolingian noble family looking at a water wheel near the imperial city of Aachen in 800 AD.

The ability to create these images is more engaging and interesting than even spending time watching movies and tv shows.

The prompt that I used was: Create image of a Carolingian nobleman with his wife and daughter and some of his peasant dependents who are looking at a water wheel near Aachen in 800 AD era.

In comparison to images created with DALLE-3 (which was already amazing but primitive), these are incredible.

Another aspect of this chatbot is the ability to make an RPG out of these paintings.

The same people can move to different situations, and this was something that was very tough on the older models.

The prompt that I used for this image was: Create image of the nobleman with his daughter giving her silk from Byzantine Empire here.

What it’s able to create here is a true sense of humanity and warmth which was missing in the old models.

People underestimate the power of AI, especially when ChatGPT when it comes to creating images. The ability to render images of past ages will, in my opinion, help to reinvigorate education of history to students.
