The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered GeForce Now Review

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Edition is now out, and many players are diving into the realm of Cyrodiil once again. The game has come out on multiple platforms, and I am currently playing it on GeForce Now after playing it on Steam. I generally play games on Steam to see whether my Gaming computer can handle new games. I am constrained by my budget. I need to see how long I can stretch out using my gaming computers. Here is how my experience with Oblivion Remastered on Steam as a comparison to GeForce Now.

Experience on running the game on Steam

However, many players have been having issues with it, which isn’t surprising. Considering that the game is running on Unreal Engine 5, this game is very demanding. People’s computers are going to be blowing like crazy. Mine was and it was clear that I was going to have to take other measures to get the game to work on my computer.

While the game would default my settings to medium, it was clear that my computer was going to continue having issues. While the gameplay was largely smooth, there lag spikes in the game.

Another issue that came up is that my computer would start crashing after about some time playing the game. My game would slow to slideshow crawl while the fans would start blowing like crazy. Then the computer would restart.

I have an additional fan under my computer which runs as this issue was popping up even in games that were ancient in comparison to this remastered game.

The Horses in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered have incredible details and have incredible realism that the original was unable to get in the Gamebyro engine.

A strong aspect of Oblivion Remastered is the graphics. The horses in particular have much more detail in comparison to the previous game. There is also a greater sense of the color contrast in the game. While some of the painterly style of the original game is not there now, the greater realism is actually allowing the colors to stand out more.

Oblivion Remastered on GeForce Now

The Geforce Now version of Oblivion Remastered is more stable than running it on my SSD. However, there is some stuttering in it and lag.

Considering that I run this game on a Wi-fi Connection, it is not surprising that there will be some hiccups here and there. In comparison with the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the experience is smoother. I think it is the quicker pace of gameplay that makes Oblivion more suitable to being streamed in comparison with Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

I think that subscribing to GeForce Now is worth it, especially if your computer is not meeting the requirements.

Even the most mundane aspects of the Oblivion Remastered edition have incredible details that show the contrasts in colors.

Obviously, I would want run the game natively on my SSD. Having to use an internet to stream a game is still not good enough. There are too many lag spikes and the experience is rather uneven. These lag spikes seem to be quite noticeable at times. Sometimes my character will turn its head and there is clear sign of lag. It is a compromise, but it cannot replace the act of actually having the game on the computer. I would recommend attaching your computer directly to the internet using an ethernet connection. Wi-Fi is too unstable even when you have an internet connection which is higher 100 Mbps.

You should also play for the Ulimate Version of the GeForce Now service.

On performance which costs 9.99 dollars, it struggles with streaming Oblivion Remastered. The computer and graphics card which the ulimate edition is emulating is much more capable of handling Oblivion Remastered. So this is a recommendation that you will need to choose the service which costs 19.99 a month in order to stream this game. This is of course on top of purchasing Oblivion Remastered for 49.99 on Steam. This is a reasonable price for a game that has much better quality gameplay than most modern games that play more like movies than video games.

With AI or LLMs becoming more powerful and useful to many people, it is clear that having data centers just for gaming is not that teneable. Of course, they could find a way in order to make the process more efficient but with the size of the data centers that they are building now, it is clear that the gaming in this way is not as efficient as they thought.

Oblivion Remastered is absolutely gorgeous. It looks so nice that it can be seen as a cozy game.

Having GeForce Now works for budget gamers. I enjoy it but it has its flaws. I want an experience that does not have these lag spikes. The recommendation that I can give is that you should have an ethernet connected to it.

I give my experience with GeForce Now a 3 out 5 stars. It is good enough but there needs to be some changes so that the experience does not as much lag here. The service allows for alot of feedback, so you should try to explain after each game session how it was.

With the Oblivion Remastered Edition being on sale already, it’s a opportune time to enjoy this classic game.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster is much needed to enhance the game

There has been much discussion about the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion getting a remaster. I agree that this is the right approach for Bethesda to take here. Oblivion was my first Elder Scrolls game and I consider it to be superior to Skyrim in the aesthetics. Gameplay wise, Skyrim is more polished, but Oblivion has a special place in my heart. Seeing that they want to remaster the game brings a smile to my face and I hope that the remaster is actually competent and brings new players to enjoy this game.

The game was always having issues on my computers, especially my previous gaming computer I had in my collection. It was glitchy and would often not have the sound working on it. On my newest computer, the game is working correctly except for some draw distance issues.

However, in spite of that, the game is rather uneven in the quality of the graphics. While many gamers would say that graphics is not the most important thing, in such AAA titles such as Oblivion, graphics are important part of the presentation of a game. The graphics in the game vary depending on what we are looking at here.

As you can clearly see in the screenshot above, the game had a rather lush green landscape around the Imperial City. In comparison with the snowy Skyrim, it gave players a variety of options. You could see Bruma, the Nord city near Skyrim and see snow. Go to a city like Bravil and you would see a swampy, run down city with much spirit. You had a choice in aesthetics unlike in Skyrim where three cities are in the snow and hardly qualify as cities.

In the Oblivion remaster, I hope that game is able to spruce up the graphics. It is time for the graphics to now shine with the engines we have now.

The game is probably most beautiful around the Imperial City. It is there where I took most of my screenshots. While the game is old, it has an aesthetic which is calming in its own right. I hope that the remaster is able to capture such colors and the architecture in this game.

In this day and age where video games often look quite ugly, it is important to have more video games similar to Oblivion. Skyrim had too many browns in its styles. Oblivion as I stated earlier has a variety of colors and environments. This makes the game still very interesting to engage with. Unlike Skyrim, this game is very easy on the eyes.

Oblivion’s Remaster will bring some new life back into the game and I hope that it retain its cozy qualities.

Is Tainted Grail the Next Skyrim? A Gamer’s Perspective

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is a modern Arthurian Sword and Sorcery Role-playing Game.

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is an interesting video game that has come to my attention recently. ESO, an RPG YouTuber has begun covering this game. In one particular section of the video, he uncovers a book called Beautiful Liliana in the Chamber of Ecstasy. In the video here, you can clearly see a drawn image of a sultry woman. She has barely any clothes on her. Such depictions of women are rare now in American media. The culture has become incredibly prudish in a secular sense, not in a sacred one.

Poland rises to the occasion: The Witcher teaches.

I looked up information on the developer of this game. It is made by a Polish company known as Questline and a Polish publisher called Awaken Realms. When I saw that the developers and the developers were Polish, I became more confident in the game. In the area of depicting attractive women, this company has already achieved greatness. This company made a game that has the potential to surpass the Witcher.

While the game is not officially out yet, Tainted Grail will be on my radar. One must keep hype in check and have realistic view of the game. ESO’s video seems to indicate a game that is very similar to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This game is a bestselling role-playing game by Bethesda Softworks. Gamers have been eagerly awaiting The Elder Scrolls VI for many years. The hype is just building. We hope Bethesda is able to deliver upon their promises.

In this transition era in Video Games, some independent companies are trying to take up the mantle. They aspire to be the next Skyrim. Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon may just be that game.

The Dark remaking of Arthurian Legends will give this game an upper hand in how it appeals to the gamers.

Tainted Grail is a game that will not hold your hand but teach you.

There is a need for a serious story once again in the Video Gaming space. Unlike many video games that come out now, Tainted Grail does not aim to hold your hand. It won’t make you comfortable, but it will challenge you to better your skills in the game.

Additionally, we need to have more depictions of women in this way in games. Some may complain that it is applying masculinity in a rather lusty way towards women. However, this comes with the territory. People who make video games should stop complaining. They should appreciate that this game is shaming the AAA video game developers. These developers can’t make interesting games now.

Sword and Sorcery is generally speaking, a very masculine genre. While women are welcome to enjoy it, this game is clearly aimed at people who are mature men.

King Arthur’s story is a masculine story at its heart and people have to understand what that means.

Another company, probably one in Canada or America would have butchered such a story. Many game companies are filled with employees who are unable to write a story about anything that rises above mediocrity. So many role-playing games are failing.

They are trying to fill quotas imposed onto them by investors. Other predatory organizations also impose these quotas.

Kingdom Come Deliverance II, while a great game in its own right, fell victim to such machinations in some areas. This game should be made with passion and duty. The Polish developers have a duty to make this game as beautiful rendition of the Arthurian Legends and stories.

This style of story is my favorite in Sword and Sorcery, and we need to have beautiful stories again. American culture has been stagnant and obsessed with its own contradictions. Instead of emphasizing such contradictions, why can’t they focus on stories that are uplifting? These stories should include warts and all. They should also respect the diversity of human experience. The nature of art is what inspires all humans to achieve greatness in their nations.

This is tough for any developer in this age. A human experience that was once obscure now becomes the dominant view with little rhyme or reason in a culture. It is time to move beyond myopic perspectives and approach such stories with a holistic view.

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon will be an interesting entry in the canon of video games.
